Chris Colston drops a new tune on Tuesday, August 13th, and we’re excited to give you an early listen!

The combination of cranked-up guitars, heavy drums and sultry vocals that put Colston on the map with his previous project “Gone” have made their way onto his newest single, and it’s exactly what we were hoping to hear from the East Texas Native.

Texas Country up-and-comer, and Lindale native, Chris Colston, has been making huge waves in the Red Dirt music scene after the release of his 2018 EP Gone.

Back in December, Colston released an acoustic song  called “Drive,” the all too relatable story of a guy loving a girl that’s miles away. The sound of this song is a bit different from the hard-charging instrumentation that fans heard on his popular release “Gone,” but demonstrates his versatility as an artist.

From his debut Blacktop Gospel to his most recent EP, Gone, the up-and-comer has landed some great gigs inside and outside of the Lone Star State. He's already played several iconic Texas venues and has toured across the country with some of the scene's biggest stars, including Koe Wetzel and Whiskey Myers.

And he's just gettin' going.

Originally written by Oklahoma native Ben McKenzie, “Drive” is a slower, more intimate song than much of Colston’s previous collection. Colston told us that he fell in love with the tune and wanted to give his fans something new before the holidays with a song that really hits home in the perfect time of year.
